Richmond is launching its own official Monopoly game and the public has the power to choose which landmarks will appear on the board.
The new version of the property board game will see the typical addresses, landmarks, and playing cards from the original Monopoly game replaced by major borough destinations.
Kew Palace, Ham’s House and Garden, Richmond Bridge, and Twickenham Stadium are expected to be popular choices.
Winning Moves, a London-based game company, produces the game under license from Hasbro.
George Shrimpton, Head of Custom Games, said: “Richmond-upon-Thames is fortunate to have great monuments cherished and appreciated.
“We are sure that we will be spoiled for choice when preparing this new edition.”
Over the past 20 years, Winning Moves has produced official versions of Monopoly with Dubai, Dublin, Sydney and Southampton.
The new edition of the Richmond-upon-Thames Monopoly will hit stores in October 2021.
